FOUR GRASS FIELDS WITH VIEWS

Norden Farm Campsite is a family-run touring caravan and camping site set on a working farm just outside of Corfe Castle on the Jurassic Coast, Dorset. The site is open from April 1st to October 31st (weather permitting).

The campsite is set back from the main road within a gorgeous valley and each field has different views to offer.

There are four level grass fields, three with electric hook up and an additional six-acre free pitching field for tents and VW camper vans in peak season.

Campers are allocated particular electric pitches based on what they have booked. Specific pitches can be requested but not guaranteed.

Please note that we are a grass site and have no hardstanding pitches.

In mid and high season, a discount of 5% is applied to any bookings of 7 nights or more.

Checking in time is from 1pm (no arrivals are allowed prior to this time) and checking out is by 11am.

You can check the details of a confirmed booking by going to the Customer login page.

GREAT FACILITIES

There are two large facilities blocks on-site, so wherever you stay you’ll never be far from one.

Facilities include:

IDEAL FOR FAMILY ADVENTURES

There are numerous other cycling and walking routes directly from the site and campers are granted access to the top of the Purbeck Ridgeway, from where they can enjoy panoramic views of Poole Harbour and the Isle of Purbeck.

The reception is open every day and stocked with local transport timetables and an abundance of flyers for local attractions and events. Staff are filled with local knowledge so feel free to ask the friendly team for their recommendations!

EXPLORE CORFE CASTLE & SWANAGE

Norden is ideally situated for using local transport; with two bus stops at the site entrance and the steam train to Swanage just a five-minute walk away. This makes Norden Farm the ideal base for exploring the wonderful Isle of Purbeck.

The site is within one mile of world-famous Corfe Castle and the ancient market town of Wareham is only 3.5 miles away. Studland Bay and the Seaside town of Swanage can be reached in 15 minutes by car.

There is a footpath leading from Norden Farm directly to the village of Corfe Castle. Here you will find four pubs along with several shops and the village bakery. Of course, you can also visit the castle ruins, now owned by the National Trust alongside their gift shop and tea rooms.

WELL-STOCKED FARM SHOP

FARM SHOP

Norden Farm Shop is exceptionally well-stocked to meet campers’ needs, selling a wide range of groceries, fresh produce and camping essentials, as well as local goods and beautiful plants in the garden centre.

FRESH PRODUCE

The shop also has a gas canister exchange service (Camping Gaz or Calor) and sells bagged ice, and a good choice of fresh, chilled & frozen products.

OTHER ACCOMMODATION

Not everyone likes to camp and so we are pleased to offer a different accommodation type at Norden, making this a perfect holiday base for everyone.

Norden House is located opposite the shop and is a large self-catering holiday home that sleeps up to 14 people. It is ideal for groups or large families to enjoy a holiday together.

Award Winning

The AA has awarded Norden a 4-pennant rating since 2014 and the overall percentage score has risen each year. It’s also a ‘highly rated campsite’ on campsites.co.uk and Norden has received a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor 5 years in a row!

The simple things done exceptionally well in a fantastic location with some great touches! We stayed at Norden Farm and it was one of those places that proves you do not need flashy facilities to deliver an exceptional break. If you want simple done exceptionally well, with a few thoughtful touches that make a real difference, this is as good as it gets. The location is a major part of what makes it so special. It is an easy 20 minute stroll into Corfe Castle, which means you can wander up to the village, explore the castle, and then settle into one of the pubs without ever needing to drive. From the campsite you are also perfectly placed for exploring the Purbecks, with attractions and beaches all within easy reach, and plenty of great walking routes nearby for anyone who wants to get out on foot. The site itself is excellent. It is level, clean, and very well kept, with a calm and friendly feel. Everything is clearly maintained to a high standard, without it feeling over managed or artificial. The shop is genuinely brilliant too, stocked with everything you might need, which saves a lot of faff and makes day to day life on site really easy. One of the unexpected highlights for us was the atmosphere around the events fields, where we caught some excellent live music. It gave the place a bit of character and made the evenings feel that little bit more special. And the peacocks were a hit with the kids from day one, a simple thing but it kept them entertained and added a proper “campsite memory” feel to the trip. Overall, Norden Farm is one of the very best campsites we have stayed at. It is not about big waterparks and constant entertainment, it is about doing the basics perfectly, in a brilliant location, with just enough extra to make it feel like a real treat. We would not hesitate to return.

Lovely Stay We had a lovely 4 night stay at Norden Farm at the beginning of October in our Motorhome. Coming to the end of the season we had our site more or less to ourselves although there were more people on the other sites who were very friendly and repeat visitors which is always a good sign . This a big site on a working farm where there are so many nice walks to explore the surroundings plus play areas for children. Great facilities - washing area may look a bit old fashioned but dont be fooled . Excellent - spacious , spotless and powerful , hot showers . The site has a lovely shop with everything you need - from locally resourced food , lovely gifts and doggie stuff plus a beautiful small garden centre . The site is perfect for exploring the local area from walks and it was so easy to get the bus to Poole , Swanage etc as bus stop is right outside . It is also a short walk to Corfe Castle where there are a couple of pubs - we visited the Fox which was lovely Some people have commented that the site is overly strict which is ridiculous - this is a working farm with high standards of animal husbandry . It was very sad to hear from a very nice member of staff that a goat had been mauled by a dog ( we saw her - her poor ear was bitten off) because of irresponsible people who cant supervise their children or dog. Good for Norden Farm !! Really enjoyed our stay despite the weather and highly recommend 5*plus . Big shout out to Mr Chips and Sausage - the friendly goats who made our visit !!

Best facilities we have ever seen in the UK. Nice campsite. Fantastic, spotless facilities. Great to meet wardens Sharon and Steve. We only stayed one night as we were passing through to visit Corfe Castle. Wonderful to hear the Sika Deer calling out as it was during the rutting season. Lisa and Neil

A fantastic find! Great site. Mainly level grass pitches with electric hook-ups. No hardstandings. On a working farm but with a large exercise field where dogs can be let off lead. Plenty of footpaths from site. Excellent facilities which are kept spotlessly clean. Best showers on any campsite that we have visited so far. Brilliant farm shop on site which is well stocked as open all year even once campsite closes st end of October. Bus stop out side main entrance . Easy access to Swanage or Poole. Only slight negative, watch out for the peacock poo! Torches essential at night. An easy 20 minute fairly level walk to Corfe Castle and the Swanage railway is also nearby. Hope to return.

If you are in the Wareham or Swanage area, as well as camping and room accommodation, the Norden Farm Shop is fabulous: not just all your camping needs, but a great range of food and gifts, from fridge magnets to local butter, and French onions, garlic and shallots, and vine tomatoes to a lovely range of plants. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Various fouls wandering around are also entertaining.....

Great dog friendly campsite with spacious pitches and clean facilities. It's an easy walk into Corfe Castle along a track away from the road and an excellent onsite farm shop for all your needs - and more!
